Summarizer ”Code Orange”

I´m going to summarize what we read the first time when we got the book.

 

We have Mitchell or ”Mitty”, who is a care-free boy and does not worry much about his grades or school. One day in the school, his teacher Mr. Lynch assigns a report about infectious diseases. Mitty has no idea what virus he should read and write about. One day he went away with his parents to their home in the countryside of Connecticut, he found an old medical book from 1899. When he read the book he felt a thicker layer in the paper. When he looked closer he saw that there was an envelope. On the envelope someone wrote with a fountain pen ” VM Epidemic 1902, Boston”. He opened it and saw a scab.

When Mitchell was younger he used to fell or trip while trying to learn the ”Rollerblades”. When the cuts scabbed he noticed them. It was something in that age that made him pull them off before the cuts healed (even I did that when I was younger, like 8 years old).

But back to Mitchell and the old scab. He touched it, smelled at it. When he accidentally sneezed he tightened his fingers and crushed the scab. He wiped  of the remains from the scab back into the envelope. But he touched his face afterwards with the remains from the scab still on his hand.
